Anti-Anxiety Moving and Breathing
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this session we are using gentle movements to work energy throughout the upper body, the lower body and then some restorative poses to let that calming energy settle in. We stand, we sit and we rest.
For this practice you will need a chair, a blanket and a block.
Gentle Soothing All Over Well Being
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this session we start with a focus on the body finding stability and then finding the breath. That leads into some gentle movements with the breath to bring in warmth and movement into the upper and lower body. We take it to some seated and lying down poses to get deeper into the hips, back and legs and finish with restorative twists and rest.

For this session you will need a blanket and a couple blocks. You will feel great with this low back reset!

Lower Cross Focus - Reset Your Low Back
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
The Lower Cross of the body is from the Right hip point to the left low ribs and the Left hip point to the Right low ribs. When we sit too much or have low back disfunction the 'X' becomes droopy and script-like when it really wants to be a capital Helvetica X. This session will provide deep work to help the body seek alignment - shoulders over the hips; front ribs seeking the spine softly while maintaining a gentle lumbar curve.

For this session you will need a blanket and a couple blocks - and you will need wall space. You will feel great with this low back reset!

Gentle Soothing Movements and Rest(oratives)
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this practice we are doing some small movements in preparation for some deeper rests - think of it as gesturing in a direction to show tension the way out! This practice is not a full restorative practice and not a full deep stretch class, but a soothing cocktail of both. For this practice you will need a blanket and a block and pillows/cushions/bolster or extra blankets to build some soft support. Jasmine makes a rare on camera appearance.

The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this session we are helping to create the causes and conditions for balance and calm in the body. Focusing on the psoas, the low back, hips and shoulders allows us to return to the integrity of our alignment - releasing the environmental things that take us out of alignment - stress, sitting, inactivity and stress. Did I mention stress? For this practice you will need a mat, a block or two if you have two, a blanket/beach towel and a chair or table - something about hip height to stabilize you in a series of poses.
Pause & Soften - Supported Seated Forward Fold

Enhancing the breath will come in handy for more exerted practices, while managing the breath will assist you in finding balance to energize or to calm down. You just need something sturdy and comfortable to sit on in this practice - a blanket folded or a block will do. Have a yoga mat to relax on at the end when we rest.

Peaceful Soothing Calming Breath Practice
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this Express session, we practice breathing that will facilitate calming and soothing your body, energy, emotions and thoughts.
Do this as a stand alone session or pair it with another express class. It's a great way to build your own custom practice.
For this practice, you will need comfortable support to sit in good alignment. If you choose to do a restorative pose after - like legs up the wall - you will need a wall! (duh) and if you choose a traditional savasana, you may want a blanket or two to cover you and maybe as support under the spine or under the knees to support the hips and spine.
The Principles of Balancing
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
In this session we practice the principles of balancing. The pillars of balance are Breath (deep, even breathing steadies the mind), Gaze/Dristi (where you look influences the mind) and Feeling your Whole Body in the pose. We take the principles into iconic yoga balancing postures: Tree, Warrior 3, Eagle, Balancing Half Moon. For this practice, please have wall space and a chair. You actually won't need your yoga mat for most of this practice, but will want it at the end, plus any comfort props to feel completely released into gravity in Savasana.
Cracking Open The Shell - Making Room For Ease
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
ISometimes we armor up with al the stress in the world and in our lives. It's time to create some space to breathe into the body. Let's crack the shell and see if we can make some room to bring in some ease. This is a gentle stretch for the legs with some mindful breathing. We finish with a Nidra of sorts. All you need is a mat and a chair or whatever you have handy like a coffee table or the front of your couch. I was joined today by a special mystery guest - so nice to have a person in the room - socially distanced of course!

Gentle & Soothing Yoga for Grief
The Gentle|Soothing Channel
All things are subject to change, so we must learn let go of things, people, relationships, ideas, ways of moving through the day. When we do so we experience loss...loss has an emotion - grief.
